 S3CO Root WMS Benefits

Welcome to the home of S3CO Root WMS™ - a feature-rich, real-time warehouse management system.

S3CO Root WMS complements your environment and your business.  A warehouse management system can improve accuracy, efficiency, customer experience, and especially your bottom line.  Every warehouse can benefit from a warehouse management system, but traditional WMS pricing has limited most Tier-2 and Tier-3 warehouses from reaping the rewards of a Tier-1 WMS.  That's why we developed S3CO Root WMS with specifically-targeted versions to meet the needs of our customers.   We allow every warehouse manager to manage their operation in real-time and empower them with accurate information on their warehouse's performance so they can better manage what they can now measure.

S3CO Root WMS is a real-time, fully-configurable, web-based suite of warehouse management processes providing for out-of-the-box wireless and paperless processing to effectively manage inbound material replenishment, order processing, and stock rotation - all in a multi-owner, multi-warehouse environment.   Comprehensive user-configurable warehouse processing logic and intuitive controls provide the capability to enhance your supply chain performance by improving inventory and order processing accuracy, increasing operating efficiency, and maximizing space utilization.  Root WMS provides real-time performance measurements and tracking of your warehouse processes and workforce performance, allowing you to better manage what you can not even measure today.  Better management decisions translate into reduced operating expenses and capital expenditure avoidance.  Include the reduced total cost of ownership provided from Root WMS's use of open architecture components and our ease of integration with existing business systems, and S3CO Root WMS has one of the strongest value propositions in the industry.

A review of the Root WMS functionality list shows that Root WMS supports the leading industry-standard warehousing techniques and technologies.  Most software providers' solutions require you to standardize on the specific technologies used in their solution design, which may or may not conflict with your existing I.T. infrastructure.  Root WMS is designed using open-architecture software development tools requiring no additional software licensing.  The Root WMS client software will run on any web browser-enabled hardware, from a PC to a hand-held PDA to a smart phone.  Root WMS's central management system can run on any platform that supports Java, encouraging hardware reuse.  To help ensure a lower total cost of ownership, Root WMS can be installed on a single Linux server running both the web application server and the PostgreSQL database, both of which can be open-source products.  Most versions of Linux even come packaged with an open-source web server and database component.  Since we support external databases, any database engine that offers a Java JDBC interface can be used with Root WMS.

Root WMS provides a single system for warehouse and inventory control processes.  Root WMS supports multiple warehouses with the capability to process an order in a single warehouse or across multiple warehouses to satisfy your customers' requirements.  Root WMS also supports contract warehouse operations by maintaining inventory by individual owners.  All inventory transactions from material receipt to order processing are time stamped, user identified, and costed.  Inventory transaction history is maintained in the Root WMS database’s Inventory Transaction History table.  It provides for up-to-the-millisecond information on material receipts, inventory transfers, inventory adjustments, and shipments.  In other words, Root WMS tracks inventory from dock to dock and even while it is on your material handling equipment giving your company a full real-time view of material movement.  Transaction history can be easily extracted from Root WMS and can be a valuable source of information for updating your legacy financial and inventory systems.

With real time pick and put-away processing, Root WMS provides for extensive warehouse activity history.  Warehouse activity history can be used to analyze equipment and user performance beyond the real-time visual and metric analysis provided with Root WMS's Warehouse Intelligence analytics.  Data can be easily extracted from Root WMS and uploaded into a third party slotting module or reporting tool.

All user interfaces are web-based and real-time.  They are designed to ask the user for the absolute minimum information but to respond with maximum information to get the job done right.  Root WMS's extensive security system controls access to the user interfaces and the import / export capabilities.

S3CO Root WMS is designed to flesh out the nuances of your business through analytics, business intelligence, and process improvements while increasing accuracy, efficiency, and productivity.  Root WMS drives cost savings and cost avoidance by increasing efficiency and productivity in the handling of material movements and order processing.  The Stock Replenishment process is designed to automatically transfer inventory closer to your shipping dock based on a reorder point process.  This can keep the inventory you move the most, closest to your shipping dock.  Root WMS's use of bar code data input and its real-time architecture eliminates data entry errors and the double-keying of vital warehousing information.  The bottom line is Root WMS will improve your customer service levels and response times, making it easier for you to meet your customer’s requirements while also saving you money.

Root WMS provides metrics and control systems designed to give you the best possible information about your operation so that you have the power to control your workflow.  Inventory Utilization reports allow you to manage the intricacies of your warehouse.  Employee Productivity reports allow you to drive your workforce to work more optimally.  The Root WMS Dashboard shows real-time visual metrics for you to manage your warehouse processes.  Our complete warehouse management reporting delivers the information for you to effectively manage your supply chain.

Root WMS is powerful, yet simple and efficient for large numbers of concurrent users and administrators.  Touch screen technology, combined with RF connectivity, provides warehouse users with accurate, real-time data.

Root WMS is designed to be implemented quickly with an array of warehouse setup tools.  It’s a J2EE web application designed to integrate seamlessly with your existing infrastructure and legacy systems.  We support data interchange via XML SOAP Web Services, CSV flat files, ETL, or manual data entry.  Since it’s written in Java and supports external databases (DBMS), S3CO Root can run on any platform.  Legacy hardware can be reused or shared infrastructures can be leveraged.  Root WMS's centralized architecture and n-tier web application architecture coordinate with today’s enterprise architecture standards.  Since Root WMS is a web application, all processing and system control logic reside on the centralized server.  This architecture supports timely data processing, since time-sensitive data does not have to traverse the wireless or wired network infrastructure.  The only data passing from the intelligent wireless clients is HTML control logic.  All commands are interpreted and executed on the server-side.

With solutions targeting all warehouse operations, ranging from multi-site, enterprise warehouses to heavy manufacturing to small businesses, we deliver performance to your supply chain.
